Ararat-Armenia hosts Saburtalo

Ararat-Armenia hosts Saburtalo in a first game from the third round of the Europa League qualifications. What can we expect from this match on Tuesday? Let’s discuss it in our predictions football 1×2.

Ararat-Armenia qualified for the third round of the qualifiers after doing the job against Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps. Of course, this was far from surprising, because as we know it very well, the level of football in Gibraltar is pretty low. The teams there are semi-professional. Against Lincoln Red Imps Ararat-Armenia achieved two wins – 2-0 at home and 2-1 in Gibraltar.

Saburtalo are the reigning champion of Georgia, who was eliminated from the Champions League qualifying rounds by Dinamo Zagreb. The Georgian team lost twice against Dinamo, without scoring a single goal and conceding five. But everyone kind of expected this, because the Croatian football is much better than the Georgian and this is a well known fact.

Against Saburtalo Ararat-Armenia will rely on some foreigners, who are playing there in order to raise the team’s level. We could mention Ivory Coast’s Kodjo Alphonse, the Russians Artem Avanesyan Dmitry Guz and Anton Kobyalko, the Nigerian Ogana, the Dutch striker Furdjel Narsingh and the Bulgarian midfielder Georgi Pashov. This is an interesting mix of players, so it’d be curious to see how Ararat-Armenia will do.

Meanwhile Saburtalo are relying mainly on Georgian players, but there are some foreigners as well. In attack they have the striker Inters Gui from Ivory Coast, while in midfield you can see Kenya’s Alwyn Tera. The French striker Vagner Goncalves is also a part of the team, alongside Montenegro’s Ognjen Rolovic.

These are our predictions football 1×2 for the Europa League qualifier between Ararat-Armenia and Saburtalo on Tuesday. We think that both teams have good chances to progress, but only one will do it.
