Parma hosts Roma

Parma hosts Roma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in the last game from the 1/8-finals of the Coppa Italia. In our football forecast today we will take a look at this fixture. One of these two teams will reach the 1/4-finals of the competition.

Torino are the only known 1/4-finalist in the Coppa Italia at the moment. The Bulls progressed in the tournament after beating Genoa with penalty kicks. On Thursday night we shall know the names of all teams who have reached the 1/4-finals.

Parma progressed in the competition after a 2-1 win againts Frosinone at the Ennio Tardini. The Crusaders had a little bit of luck, too, because until the 92th minute it was a 1-1 draw. It was the Brazilian midfielder Hernani who scored the winning goal for Roberto D’Aversa’s team. Before this Luca Siligardi opened the score for Parma, but Marcello Trotta equalised for the visitors.

On Monday Parma achieved their 8th win for the season in the Serie A. Simone Iacoponi and Andreas Cornelius scored for Parma. The club is now 7th in the Calcio standings with 28 points.

Roma will travel to Ennio Tardini after a dissapointment during the weekend. The Wolves hosted the champion Juventus at the Olimpico, but conceded two early goals and suffered a 1-2 defeat. Diego Perotti scored for Roma from a penalty kick in the 68th minute, but until the end of the game Juve didn’t concede a second goal.

That’s a little bit worrying because it’s a second consecutive home loss for Roma after the one against Torino. Is there a problem in Paulo Fonseca’s team now?

In our football forecast we think this Coppa Italia game between Parma and Roma is looking more or less unpredictable. Roma lost their last two matches in the Serie A, while Parma will try to use their home advantage.
