AFC Bournemouth hosts Arsenal
AFC Bournemouth hosts Arsenal at the Vitality Road in a last game from the 4th round of the FA Cup. In this football forecast we will try to give you some good preview of this clash.
Bournemouth will play this game in a difficult moment for the club. Because of some really poor form lately, the Cherries are now in the relegation zone of the Premier League, being 18th with 23 points. Eddie Howe’s team made a step in the right direction in the previous round, when Bournemouth recorded a 3-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion at home. They still remain in a very dangerous situation, though.
In the FA Cup the Cherries reached the 4th round after a convincing 4-0 win at home over Luton Town. The Danish international Philip Billing scored a brace in this game, while Callum Wilson and Dominic Solance also put the ball in the net.
Arsenal will be serious about winning the FA Cup this season, because the Gunners don’t have many other options for a trophy. Because of Unai Emery’s sacking and the appointment of Mikel Arteta, this looks like a transitional season for Arsenal. But it doesn’t mean they can’t win a trophy, too.
In the beginning of the month Arsenal progressed in the FA Cup after a 1-0 win at the Emirates against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United. Reiss Nelson was the hero of the day, scoring the winner in the 55th minute.
Right now Arsenal are in a run of three consecutive draws in the Premier League, which tells us that Arteta is having some problems in building a winning mentality in his players. It’d be interesting to see how the team will do on Sunday in a different competition.
That’s our football forecast for the FA Cup game between AFC Bournemouth and Arsenal on Sunday. Can the Gunners prove that they are favourites?
