Barcelona hosts Getafe

Barcelona hosts Getafe at the Camp Nou on Saturday with only one thing in mind – winning all of the three points. Right now the reigning champion is three points behind the leader Real Madrid, so there’s no place for any steps backwards now. Let’s take a look at this game in our La Liga predictions for today.

Last week Barcelona survived a very complicated visit to Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin, winning the game with 3-2 after being twice behind. The goalscorers for Barca were also surprising, because it was Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Clement Lenglet who scored the goals for Quique Setien’s team.

At the end of the game Clement Lenglet got sent off as well, so the French defender won’t be avaliable for this fixture in the Catalan capital on Saturday. With Samuel Umtiti having some injury problems, this turns out to be a difficult situation for Quique Setien.

Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele remain sidelined with serious injuries, so Setien must choose again between Ansu Fati and Sergi Roberto to play near Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

For Getafe this is another great season – second in a row. The club is once again dreaming of a first Champions League qualification, currently being third in the standings with 42 points.

What’s most impressive is the current form of Jose Bordalas’ team. Getafe are in an amazing run of four consecutive wins in the league. It’s just the leader Real Madrid which is in a better shape than Getafe.

Last week Getafe won their 12th win for the campaign as they crushed Valencia with 3-0 at home. Jorge Molina scored twice against Los Che, while Mata added one more for the win.

That’s our La Liga predictions for the match between Barcelona and Getafe on Saturday. This could turn out to be a really complicated game for the Catalans.
