Nothing which Manuel Pellegrini’s boys tried against City actually worked. Raheem Sterling showed amazing form and scored three goals for the champions, while Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero from a penalty kick also scored for Guardiola’s team.

Of course, we shall not be too judgmental on West Ham, because losing against this Manchester City side is nothing to be ashamed of. The champions have a terrific squad, so they were big favourites before the game. On Saturday the Hammers will have the chance to leave a different impression.
