Deportivo Alaves welcomes Real Valladolid

Deportivo Alaves welcomes Real Valladolid in a game from the 13th round of La Liga. We will make some observations about this clash in our La Liga predictions today.

Most certainly the previous season was going much better for Deportivo Alaves. Right now they are 16th in the standings with 12 points and closer to the relegation zone than they’d like. In 12 games played in the league so far, Alaves won just three times. There’s a huge room for improvement and the manager Asier Garitano knows it pretty well.

Last week Deportivo Alaves lost for a sixth time this season. The team travelled to Pamplona to face Osasuna and suffered a 2-4 loss from the newcomer. Laguardia and Lucas Perez scored for the visitors, but it was not enough.

Alaves’ last win in La Liga came on October 20, when Garitano’s boys beat Celta with 2-0 at home.

For Real Valladolid the situation is better now. The club is 12th in La Liga with 17 points, but a win on Saturday would allow them to make some jump in the standings. In the last five rounds Valladolid lost just once – against the champion Barcelona, so we can say the team is in a good shape at the moment.

In the previous round Real Valladolid hosted Mallorca at the Jose Zorrilla and celebrated a dominating 3-0 win. Joaquin Fernandez opened the score, while Enes Unal and Sandro Ramirez added two more goals for the hosts.

Sergi Guardiola and Oscar Plano are Real Valladolid’s most profilic players in La Liga so far. Both of them have scored three times since the start of the campaign.

That’s our La Liga predictions for the game between Deportivo Alaves and Real Valladolid on Saturday. The visitors in a better shape, but the hosts are in a big need of points as the moment.
