Estonia hosts Netherlands
Estonia hosts Netherlands in a match from Group C of the European qualifications. We are going to take a look at this fixture in the city of Talinn in our sure win prediction today.
Estonia are currently the weakest team in the group, being at the bottom of the standings with no points won from four games played. In these four matches the Estonian team scored just two goals and conceded 14. They are currently on three points behind the 4th in the group Belarus.
Few days ago Estonia hosted Belarus at home, but suffered a 1-2 defeat at the A. Le Coq Arena in Talinn.
All of the three goals in the match were scored after the halftime break. The visitors opened the score with a goal from Nikita Naumov, but Estonia equalised with a goal from Erik Sorga. The conclusion came in the injury time of the match, when Belarus clinched the win with a late winning goal from Maksim Skavysh.
Netherlands are on the rise after a fantastic 4-2 win over Germany in Hamburg few days ago. In March the Dutch side lost from the German team in Amsterdam, but now Ronald Koeman’s boys showed their talents and achieved a great win against the former world champion.
At halftime Germany had a lead in the scoreline, thanks to a goal from Serge Gnabry, but after the break Netherlands put their foot on the gas pedal and crushed the hosts. Frenkie de Jong equalised after an assist from Ryan Babel, while Jonathan Tah scored himself an own goal. Until the end of the game Donyell Malen and Georginio Wijnaldum secured the win for the visitors, while Toni Kroos added one more goal for Germany from a penalty kick.
Arguably Netherlands are more than a big favourite against Estonia in Talinn on Monday. In our sure win prediction today we think that Koeman’s team will show its worth once again, just like they did in Hamburg.
