Monaco welcomes Nimes

Monaco welcomes Nimes in a game from the third round of the French Ligue 1. Let’s head out to the Stade Louis II in Monaco to take a look at this match in our soccer matches tomorrow.

For Monaco it’s a deja vu from the previous season. Les Monegasques kicked off their campaign in the worst possible way – with two losses in the first two rounds. Because of results like these, last season Leonardo Jardim was sacked as a manager, before being appointed again.

The loss against Olympique Lyonnais in the first round was followed by another defeat. Last week Monaco travelled to face Metz and suffered a heavy 0-3 loss at the Stade Saint-Symphorien. The Senagalese striker Habibou Diallo scored twice in Benjamin Lecomte’s net, while Renaud Cohade added one more for the hosts.

Here’s the moment to say that Monaco recieved a second red card in just two games played so far. After Cesc Fabregas’ red card against Olympique Lyonnais in the first round, against Metz it was Ruben Aguilar who saw the red colour in the first half of the game. Clearly the manager Leonardo Jardim must talk to his players and find a way to stop this tendency.

Just like Monaco, Nimes also started the season with two losses. In the first round Nimes lost against the champion PSG in Paris, while in the second round they hosted Nice and got beaten with 1-2. Wylan Cyprien and Ignatius Ganago put Nice ahead, while Renaud Ripart’s goal from penalty kick wasn’t enough for Nimes to win at least a point.

Nimes finished this game with nine men on the pitch, because two players from the hosts were sent off in the last seconds of the match. Pablo Martinez and Tony Briancon saw the red card against Nice, so they won’t be avaliable for the visit to Monaco.

These are our soccer matches tomorrow prediction for the Ligue 1 clash between Monaco and Nimes on Sunday.
