Newcastle United will host Sheffield United
We are heading to the St. James’ Park where Newcastle United will host Sheffield United in a match from the 30th round of the Premier League. Here are our English Premier League predictions.
Newcastle United are 13th in the league standings with 35 points, which is putting them in a good position to secure survival. Right now the Magpies are 8 points ahead of the 18th Bournemouth and the danger zone, so it’s a good place for them. The season is not over, though, so Newcastle must finish it on a high note.
Last week the Magpies celebrated a 9th win for the season. Newcastle visited Southampton at the St. Mary’s and went home with a 1-0 win. The only goal in the game was scored by Allan Saint-Maximin just 11 minutes before the end. It was a good game for Steve Bruce’s team.
Ciaran Clark is still injured for Newcastle United, while the same could be said about Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett as well. They are not avaliable for selection.
Sheffield United will remember this season as a pretty good one. The Blades are 7th in the league with 43 points and honestly almost nobody expected that they can do so well in their first season since the promotion from Championship.
11 wins, 10 draws and 7 defeats – this is Sheffield United’s record at the moment. They have the same amount of losses as the champion Manchester City, which is really impressive.
Last week the Blades hosted Norwich City at the Bramall Lane and let the fans go home happy after a 1-0 win.
In these English Premier League predictions we expect a tough fight between Newcastle United and Sheffield United on Saturday. The hosts are aware that they are facing a difficult opponent, but the fans at the St. James’ Park will help as much as they can.
